Centre for Scientific and Technical Information and Innovation Promotion of Ukraine
Information Centre for Ukraine-EU S&T Cooperation (NIP Ukraine) was established on 01 August 2003 by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on the base of the Kyiv Centre for S&T, Economic Information (now UKRTECHINFORM) to support Ukrainian scientific community integration to the ERA by facilitating access of the scientific community of the country to the ERA.

NIP Ukraine closely cooperates with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the National Aerospace Agency of Ukraine, the European Commission and partner institutions in and outside Ukraine. NIP Ukraine runs the Internet information service, conducts infodays, workshops and seminars in the regions of Ukraine and provides general support to Ukrainian would-be participants of the FPs.
For the period from March 2005 through December 2006 NIP Ukraine had served as the INTAS Helpdesk in Ukraine. NIP Ukraine has a positive experience implementing and coordinating international academic and scientific activities as well as disseminating S&T-related information and signposting up to date information to authorised bodies and institutions within scientific networks. NIP Ukraine runs the general information services on FP procedures and requirements, networking with educational and research institutions, as well as providing partner-search assistance to Ukrainian potential FP participants.
More specific activities include: organisation and conducting specialised conferences, workshops and seminars for target groups, training and consulting potential FP project participants, publishing information bulletins on FP and issuing guides on FP rules, procedures and requirements.
NIP Ukraine was FP7 National Coordinator as well as INCO NCP, Mobility NCP and Legal and Finance NCP. NIP Ukraine acted as INTAS Help Desk in Ukraine for the period from 2004 to 2006.
NIP Ukraine has acquired experience to be a partner in the following FP6 and FP7 projects:

As a public nonprofit international STI cooperation specialist, UKRTECHINFORM brings in the project positive experience in implementing and coordinating international academic and scientific activities as well as disseminating S&T-related information and signposting up to date information to authorised bodies and institutions within scientific networks. Operationally under the Ministry of Education and Science UKRTECHINFORM brings in strong links with important national and regional stakeholders in the field of STI.
NIP Ukraine at UKRTECHINFORM under competency of the MESU has experience and capacities to contribute:
1) development of analytical materials
2) organisation of information and training activity
3) intercommunication between STI Governmental, Industrial bodies, Academic and Educational community in Ukraine and abroad.
UKRTECHNIFORM based on its capacity, is going to contribute in the following tasks:
1) In WP1, in supporting the EU-EaP STI Policy Dialogue , in maximizing the impact of the Association to H2020 and in shaping the future of the EU – EaP STI cooperation
2) In WP3, in training for technology managers , in boosting Clusters in EaP and in promoting the ETPs concept in EaP
3) In WP4, in the policy development framework and in exploring cooperation with JPIs.
4) In WP5, in the content management and communities of practice.
